Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Customers rave about the exceptional quality of the fish and chips. The fish is always fresh, flaky, and encased in a perfectly crisp batter. Many note the generous portion sizes, ensuring great value for money. The chips, golden and fluffy, complement the fish perfectly. The friendly service is another highlight; guests always leave with a smile due to the personal touch and care provided by the staff. The nostalgic vibe and reminders of the classic chip shops from yesteryear create a community feel that many cherish.

Most Disliked

Some patrons mention that the location can be a bit tricky to find, tucked around the back and away from main roads. This might lead to missed opportunities for first-time visitors unaware of its presence. Occasionally, the wait times can be longer during peak lunch hours, as everything is freshly prepared to order. Lastly, while the small seating area provides a cozy experience, some may feel it lacks extensive options for larger groups or those wanting to dine in comfortably.

We've been living here for 18 months and never realised that this chippy was here (we saw the sign and assumed that it was an old sign on the house that had been converted - The chippy is round the back). Such great fish. Excellent chips and generous portions too. We will be back and so happy that you're literally just across the street.

After a long drive to collect a parcel I was feeling quite hungry. Very pleased to find a chippy . Parking on site. Nice lady served me a big portion of chips a fish and mushed peas and a drink . Had them open and sat in the car to eat them . Very tasty food I would go again but would be 145 mile round trip . But I've marked it on the map incase I find myself up that way again
